Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS SLR Lens: Canon's latest optical Image Stabilizer (IS) technology provides up to 4-stop compensation for image blur caused by camera shake and slow shutter speeds. Photographers normally shooting handheld at 1/250 sec can switch on IS to obtain a similarly steady and blur-free result with a shutter speed of just 1/15 second. The Canon EOS Rebel T1i is a great camera. Even used in auto as a point and shoot it takes fantastic photos plus gives you the ability to choose your own settings and the ability to change the lense as the need arises.

I did a lot of research before finally purchasing my first dSLR. I had outgrown my point and shoot and this kit offered all that I wanted together in one package and at a price that couldn't be beat when all my needs were considered. I compared a lot of other packages, attempted to put together my own kit and decided that this was a great kit at a great price. The things that sold me on this one were the inclusion of the tripod and the fact that both lenses were Canon lenses.

I've had this kit now for a little over a month. The image shown is exactly what was sent to me, except the bag looks a bit different. It arrived on time, and in good condition. Everything has worked well so far.

The camera bag is quite large, and fits both lenses, the camera, and a lot of smaller items. It is an excellent storage bag, and allows me to keep everything together. But because of its size it isn't that great for taking with you on the streets. I'm using a smaller bag to hold the camera on days when I know I don't need another lens.

Both lenses are Canon lens, with the Image Stabilization feature- which I think will be imperative for those telephoto shots. The telephoto lens allows for amazing distances. I can't wait to really need it. The tripod does exactly what it should. It's very light, which probably means it cheap, but it comes with a bag, making it easily portable- so the weight is a good thing for me.

Overall, I'm very happy with this kit.
A great mid-grade start!

I've been a photographer for about a decade and was ready to take the plunge to a more professional level camera. The T1i hasn't disappointed me in the least, however I can see why people would save the extra $100 or $200 more to go up to the T2i or better yet the 50D, etc. That said, the T1i is a great weight for carrying as you go. The color "straight out of the camera" is incredible. The stock lens EF-S 18-55 is a great lens. I'd suggest it for anyone in a similar position.

"The product was good and is doing the job it was suppose to do. i.e taking excellent pictures. But the seller is a bit slow. They take ages to ship your product after the order is placed. In my case, it took them 5 days to even ship and that also when i followed up on email 3 times... Product 100% satisfied .. seller not very great..."
